"As the Crow Flies," mixed media on recycled metal ceiling tiles, c. 2011

Diane Hause

This exhibit is a selection of paintings, drawings, woodcuts, collages and assemblages created over 32 years. New works such as "As the Crow Flies" are included and consists of sixteen, 11 inch square recycled metal ceiling tiles painted and collaged. When viewed individually or as a whole, this series reflects, reveals and invokes the collective arc of concerns and inspirations that have long influenced the art and life of artist Diane Hause. Originally from New York, Hause earned her BFA at UNC-W in 1977 and her MFA at UCSB in 1983. Diane Hause left Wilmington in 1979 to travel and just moved back 2 years ago.

"Here to There and Back Again" is on display through December.
